Leaderboard Not Showing Text

TL;DR
As of version 1.3.4, the leaderboard no longer uses “default” text for anonymous donations. To fix missing text, go to your Leaderboard Settings and manually enter the display values for both Public and Anonymous states.

Why is this happening?

In versions prior to 1.3.4, the plugin would automatically fall back to your general leaderboard settings even if a donor chose to remain anonymous. While this seemed convenient, it caused significant confusion regarding donor privacy and data consistency.

To give you more control and ensure total clarity for your donors, we updated the logic: The leaderboard now requires explicit settings for both scenarios.

How to Fix It

If your leaderboard looks blank or is missing labels, follow these simple steps:

  1. Navigate to Settings: Go to WooCommerce -> Donation Platform and scroll down to the Leaderboard settings.
  2. Define Public Text: Ensure you have filled out the fields for standard, public donations (e.g., “Donor Name”).
  3. Define Anonymous Text: Look for the Anonymous/Private configuration section. You must now explicitly enter what you want to appear when the “Anonymous” box is checked (e.g., “Anonymous Supporter”).
  4. Save Changes: Hit save, and your text should reappear instantly!
