If you create or improve a translation for Donation Platform for WooCommerce, please consider sharing it with the community. By contributing your translations to the official WordPress translation platform, you help make the plugin accessible to site owners around the world in their native language.
How to Translate Directly on WordPress Translate
You don’t need any special software to contribute—you can translate string by string right in your web browser:
- Go to the official Donation Platform for WooCommerce Translation Page.
- Click on your language from the list.
- Select the Stable (latest release) sub-project.
- Double-click on any untranslated or fuzzy string (or click Details > Translate) to open the translation editor.
- Enter your translation in the text box and click Suggest new translation.

⚠️ Important Note About Translation Approval
Please note that as the developers of Donation Platform for WooCommerce, we cannot approve or publish your submitted translations.
How the WordPress Translation System Works
WordPress uses a centralized, language-specific moderation system. Submitted translations are reviewed and approved exclusively by official Plugin Translation Editors (PTEs) or General Translation Editors (GTEs) appointed by the WordPress Polyglots team for each individual language.
Our Honest Take: While this centralized system is intended to maintain translation quality across WordPress, it can often feel frustratingly rigid and slow. Unfortunately, plugin authors have zero authority to approve community translations for their own plugins—even if we want to or speak the language ourselves.
If your suggested translations remain pending for a long time:
- You can request to become a Project Translation Editor (PTE) for your language by posting a request on the official WordPress Polyglots Blog.
- Alternatively, you can use local translation tools like Loco Translate to apply translations directly to your site immediately, without waiting for global approval.
